From social service and arts appreciation to youth mentorship and education, Higginbotham and its employees put countless hours and dollars into community development. And with locations across Texas, our impact is far reaching. The Fort Worth Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals gave the firm its National Philanthropy Day award for Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation in 2009.
In 2010, we created the Higginbotham Community Fund administered by the Community Foundation of North Texas to formalize our gifting strategy to the many charities we support throughout Texas. Grants of the donor-advised fund are distributed to nonprofits that are selected by an advisory committee comprised of Higginbotham leadership. The fund is financed by employee donations with a corporate matching component, and employees can recommend nonprofit organizations to the advisory committee.
Employees can get further involved by joining the Higginbotham F.O.R.C.E. (Family of Responsible Caring Employees). Our employee volunteers proudly wear their F.O.R.C.E. t-shirts while engaging in a variety of philanthropic activities.
